Event Organiser

Job Summary

Noor Orphans Fund is looking for a full-time (part-time will also be considered) Event Organiser with at least 2 years of experience managing events within the charity or business sector. You will handle events from start to finish, liaising with a dedicated in-house team and external volunteers and contractors. As the main point of contact for our special events, you will primarily coordinate with venue owners, sales and marketing teams, and potential sponsors. Our ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree or diploma in event management or related fields, has successfully worked on events with 500+ attendees, and has a great deal of self-sufficiency in accomplishing their duties. Our goal is to increase the amount of funding raised at our events, and we hope you can help us get there.

Responsibilities & Duties

1. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, volunteers, and event sponsors during event planning
2. Create and distribute event marketing material on social media websites
3. Manage event planning, set up, close and follow-ups
4. Establish standardised event procedures and train staff and volunteers into properly executing them
5. Build and adhere to an event budget
6. Track event key performance areas and identify items to improve on for future events
7. Follow up on pledges and secure all donations made from events

Skills & Qualifications

1. Experience coordinating large-scale events
2. Ability to work independently
3. Creative thinker
4. Capable of working with internal and external teams
5. Familiar with event registration tools & software
6. Degree or diploma in Event Management or related fields is desirable
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
8. Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
