Our Clothes Collection Campaign began in 2012 with the aim of providing good quality clothing for Iraq’s poorest orphans and their families. However, with the brutal advent of Daesh (ISIS) in Iraq and the mass displacement of people that followed, the campaign was expanded to include all those who have been displaced by the conflict.
We ask donors to donate clothes that are either new or in very good condition, and which can be dropped off at our headquarters in Stanmore, London. Here they come into the hands of our tireless volunteers who sort them out into different groups, making sure that all the clothes are of good quality, and then fold and pack them into appropriately labelled boxes for shipping. The clothes are then shipped to our centres in Iraq and distributed to the orphans and displaced families who are desperate for any help they can get. Though it may not seem like so much to us, receiving these clothes really makes a big difference to those living in the poorest of conditions.
If you would like to donate some clothes to us you can drop them off at our headquarters at 4 Dalston Gardens, Stanmore, London, HA7 1BU. Please remember to bring the clothes into the building – DO NOT leave clothes outside.Leave a reply →
